Am thinking of buying the Olympus 4 mp Camedia c-4000 camera. Does anyone know anything about this camera? I just purchased a nikon coolpib 3100 and I am not crazy about it...so the Olympus looked promising and has alot of cool features. Sure would like to get some feed back before I invest the money.Thank you!

I think that is would be a good camera. I have a C-3000Z and It has served me well for years. You can also have complete control over aperature, shutter and focus which is great. It also has a very good macro mode.

I have had a C4000Z for about 6 months now and love it. It is very versatile and has served me well. Really the only thing about it that I wish it had was a more powerful optical zoom.

I find that I don't always have to do a lot of post processing, pictures come out nicely straight from the camera. Autofocus has always worked well, nice supermacro mode, portrait mode, sports mode, night scene mode...all nice options that have all worked well.

Does well with battery life...I used rechargeables in it and can usually get about 80 shots per set of batteries using the LCD display full time.

All in all I have been very pleased with the performance of this camera. My only decision in the next few months is going to be whether I keep it or not when I upgrade to a DSLR.

Hi neenee, i have one and love it, it has so many functions, and it takes very good pictures, I have been low rated because of me, not the camera ;).
I believe is a very nice purchase for amateurs photographer like me.
Go ahead, get it and have fun!

Neenee!

I just bought one about 3 months ago, and I love it! It's fantastic! One thing I think you should look into though is the C-5050. If you have the cash, it's a worthwhile improvement, especially for it's memory capabilities (it takes any kind), while the C-4000 only takes smart media, it's one drawback! Other then that it's an awesome camera. Have a look on ebay for good prices though, cause I got mine for $400 Canadian!
