Hello,
My membership runs out tomorrow night, August 29th. Just think...that was the day Katrina was pounding me!
You can see one of the first forum posts I made here!
I'm now building a home 40 miles north of New Orleans..(in the same area where I rode out the storm). I'm going from 5 feet below sea level to 47 feet above ! I have many many friends and family that could not or would not "move out" of the New Orleans area. They are hoping it takes another 40 years between big storms!
On the other hand, my brother moved from New Orleans to Branson, MO after the hurricane!
Here is a shot of my street the day after the storm (neighbor took shot)
Here is another from the 9th Ward of New Orleans....6 miles west of my house. (I was born in the 9th Ward)
Well, let me go get my credit card so I can renew this thing!

Congratulations for sticking around in your area but in a safer spot. After a year of heartache, it must be tough for you.
Glad you find DPC a home away from home, so to speak.
