I live in the boonies and my mail box is out at the road. Even when I have a package that wont fit in the huge box I have, the mail lady will first deposit any other mail in the road side box, then bring my package to the door. I always wondered why if she already has to come to the door with a package, she couldnt briong me the rest of the mail too. Well, to day she brought everything to the door, my package of new duckies, and the regular bills, junk, etc. I thanked her for bringing all of it to the door so I did not have to walk down to the road to get it. She informed me this was only due to the large ugly spider that had attached itself to the handle of the box and she was petrified of spiders. lol
The second she was gone I made a dash for the box, camera in hand, with the 50mm and an extender attached. Isnt he cute!!!!

Maybe if I leave him there she'll bring me my mail tomorrow too!

Should I super glue him in place so she'll keep bringing my mail to the door?

Oh, ShutterPug, nice spider! And great story.

You have to send away to get duckies?
Sad news, indeed.
(I just sent one of mine to reform school)

PS How in the world did you know the name of that guy?

These are special duckies, so I had to order them online.

Wolf Spiders are common here. As soon as I saw him I knew what he was. He seemed content to having his photo taken. Sometimes they get a bit annoyed and jump at you.

Well, I'm sure glad this guy/gal didn't jump at you.
Would have spoiled your DOF for the shot for sure.
