Then you are screwed. Nikon itself took over from the original importer. The result is that a couple of days ago a lot of lens prices have been increased by 30% (unannounced).
Ridiculous price increase, I am very, very dissapointed with Nikon right now (also because I was pondering getting a 300mm f/4, I am not going to pay the new price for it, hell no).
Another result is that Nikon is now more expensive than Canon in Holland. It used to be equal or even less expensive, but now, you might have guessed it, they are 30% more expensive. That is also about 30% more expensive than Sony/Minolta. I think Nikon NL is on a suicide mission.
Good news if you want to sell.

That makes no sense. If Nikon have taken over directly, then they should be able to charge *less* not *more* as the importer's markup has been removed.
Unless they just got greedy, of course.
edit: Here in Ireland Canon customers have started a letter-writing campaign to complain about Canon Ireland's pricing policy... might be worth thinking about. The campaign actually is getting a response!

If I could sell without loss (and I can with the 70-200 VR and 35-70 now) I might think about it. :)
