Once a year I head out west to California to visit mom in Santa Barbara and my brother and his family in Mission Viejo. Mostly I go because it isn't 100 degrees (though it was warm the few days we were in southern southern California). This year my sister came, too, and I addicted both her and my mom to photography - or at least to taking pictures anyway. Mom had just purchased a Casio ExSlim (I think it is) with 6 MP capability; my sister was using my mom's old Kodak 2 MP camera. We had a blast!
I took everything from the standard tourist picture to displays at the Pottery Barn (had to do something while mom and sis shopped). Feel free to browse the soCal Vacation folder for fun. Comments are not at all required but are welcome and will be returned in a hopefully somewhat timely manner, silly day job permitting.

The jetty image is my favorite, as I just love the water ripples, and have already left you a comment.

| Lovely sets of shots, Deb. Liked the silhouette shot of the lamppost a lot and it is one that could have done well in the Pastel challenge I think! |
