Just before shooting a few photos for a friend I was doing some macro photos using a #4 close up lens. Then went to take these photos for her at Penn State Altoona. Wasn't until we had left the field at Penn State Altoona when I realized I still had the close up lens on the camera. I was shooting in auto mode and every single photo locked in, looked ok too on the lcd screen. I hoped when I got home and started to edit the photos they wouldn't be to bad well as you can tell they were soft! //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=37639
All of you who said that photo was soft, well you were absolutely right! |

Hehehe. Something similar happened to my uncle recently, and with the same camera as yours! The 7i must be cursed. Over the summer he went on the Voyager of the Seas Caribbean Cruise with his family. Prior to that he had been doing some night photography testing and had the camera set to ISO 800. He leaves for vacation and forgets about the camera settings in the rush of things. So, he snapped away 3+ 256MB flash cards of beautiful sunsets, animals, ancient island ruins, snapshot vacation photos, etc.
They all looked perfect on the LCD, but when he put them on the computer they were full of noise/grain! Some were still printable for "family photo album use only", but there were a ton of great photos ruined. |

I never use the LCD just incase of some silly problem and for whatever the reason that day I chose to use the screen. Fortunately I realized it before I did the formal photos for them. It was only the playful photos that they agreed to do for me that were blurry and soft. |
