I'm 17 yrs old, I started digital SLR photography less than a month ago, with my first DSLR; the Canon Rebel XT. I used to have a plain ol point and shoot Canon Powershot A520.
Not sure if anyone here might remember me, but I was asking for help on which camera I should pick out. SO I got it, and some asked for an update and with new pix..
old post - My old post
I made a portfolio on another site ...
the portfolio
I would have MUCH rather gotten one on this site.. I will eventually. When I have more pictures, and actually have a bit of cash! I blew it all on that camera.
Critiques would be wonderful.. whats your fave picture/s, least favorite/s.. are any even good? That kind of thing.
Thanks in advance!

Seems like you're off to a very good start, you have some nice shots, can't wait to see some of your work on this site, I think you will do very well, good luck. |

Thanks for the compliments
It makes me so mad though, it seems like everytime I shoot a really nice photo, it doesn't fit in with any of the current challenges. And I'm not good at doing staged shots, I just like going out into forests and nature, and shooting pictures of whatever crosses my path.
Eventually, I'll shoot a picture that fits in and enter it! Hopefully soon too, I'm getting mad. heh |

Same thing w/ me, nature stuff and sports tend to be my thing, hence you don't see a lot of challenge entries.
That said, I have immense respect for those w/ the talent and patience to do very set up shots and spend hours indoors getting things right.
I've also learned a ton just by reading things around here and keeping an open mind to try different things. Shooting digital really frees you up to learning quicker because you aren't having to pay for getting film developed every time you shoot. |

I looked at your people and pets album. Nice work. I love the image of the girl with the phone, looking harried. Perfect shot to depict the fast world we live in today. |
