On the 2nd of September in rain or shine I will be walking from the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond up 3194 feet to the summit of Ben Lomond in order to raise money for Yorkhill Childrens Hospital
I have created an online sponsorship form here so that any of you lovely, lovely people at DPC who can spare a pound (dollar) or two can sponsor me. There is also information about the Yorkhill Childrens Foundation on the site.
Obviously I will be taking lots of lovely photos and will be posting them on here next Sunday.
I've left it a bit late for bothering folk for sponsorship since we head off next Saturday morning at 7am, so I've left the donations page open for a short while afterwar the event. (I didn't realise you can do this online thing till very recently)
Anyway, thanks in advance to anyone who can spare even the smallest amount
Steve

Typical
The day after I set up the above website the organisers of the hillwalk have changed the venue.
We are now climbing The Cobbler (Ben Arthur) instead
The sponsorship money still gos to the same charity and we are still heading out at 7am on Saturday
Just thought I'd update
Steve
p.s. Just in case I've offended any of the "Photography Is the Sole Subject .....Of Future Forums" club .....I will be taking lots of pictures.

I note the smilie. I think its too soon to joke, myself. But I am sure you meant it only in good-natured ribbing.

It was a *dreich day yesterday but we headed out anyway to walk up the 2891 feet to the summit of Ben Arthur, commonly known as The Cobbler to raise money for sick kids at Yorkhill Childrens Hospital in Glasgow
My sponsorship site is still up here, soIf anyone has a few quid spare and would like to give to a worthy cause before we tally up the total I would be most grateful. I reckon we're into a couple of thousand pounds total as a very rough guess.
Thank You
Steve

Just to let you all know that the total has finally been calculated and our little hilwalk raised £3020 for Yorkhill Childrens Hospital.
Thank You
