I am not sure if you are a mac or pc person, but I use a oc. I don't have RSE but my guess would be this. Download them onto your computer just like you do your regular jpegs. After its on your hard drive, find a raw file, right click on the file and choose Open With->Choose program. click the checkbox that say always use this program... Then find the RSE prgram in that dialog box and click ok. then double click on the file it should open RSE. Or get them on your hard drive open RSE then Open and search for a raw file. If your a mac person I'm useless.

I would reccomend buying a card reader, very easy to use and cheap to buy.Save them to a folder on your hard drive then open RSE, just like explorer, RSE has a folder list, just browse to the folder and there they are.
Bear in mind your cam may also produce a small jpeg file as well as the raw file, for viewing purposes.I delete them anyway, too memory hogging to save them and the raw file.
Paul.

It's a well-known problem, and a stupid choice on Canon's part, IMO. The RAW files won't be visible when viewing the camera as a drive, though JPEGs will. I was under the impression that they could be moved woith the Canon EOS Viewer software, but I could be wrong. The best overall solution is a fast card reader, which will speeed up transfer in any case. |

the rebel takes an extra long time to show the files, but it does show. You just have to be patient (as in, 3 minutes or so just to show, and then forever and a day to download). In the end I got tired of waiting and purchased a $20 card reader. Works like magic.
