Wazz, this is me...hammered by the voters might be a good thing for my scores.

And I have no plans on doing this...I'm just being cheeky.

do you guys think I can recreate the scene in my own style, or does it have to be "exactly" like the movie?

Maybe we should have extra rules forbidding any Star Wars or LOTR shots. That ought to cut the entries down by about half!

I say almost no one except for maybe American_Horse could recreate exactly. SO I say your own style is perfect! :-)

I can't believe there doing this challenge! I suggested it a couple months ago and it didn't get a single reply and I thought it was dead. Then looked at new challenges and there it was. Sweet!

This is going to be interesting. I wonder how many obscure films we'll get. On the other hand, tastes vary a lot, so there probably aren't too many films everyone (or a large majority) will have seen.

This challenge is 4 months late. I did this back in April. My friend was the human tripod in order for me to get this.

I guess I need to find these guys again.

anyone wanna clue me in on how to do those cool shots with black background, black subject, but nice thin white "halo" style of silouhette around the foreground subject? I thought put a light behind the object, but now the whole object is just glowing >< ... maybe i should use a more opaque object?

Definitely you would need to use back light for the halo, but sounds like you need to add a second light or a reflector to get just a bit of light onto the front of your subject too.
