I recently purchased a little Nikon L3 compact to have a camera I could slip in my pocket when I didn't want to carry the D50, lenses, etc... I know you can spend a lot for a little digicam these days and the L3 was only $179 so i thought I would take the chance. I had read a few reviews and the camera wasn't bad but certainly not considered top of the line.
Anyway, here is a sunrise shot over Hollywood Beach Florida using the Coolpix L3. I did have to run it through Neat Image to get rid of the noise but I don't think it turned out too bad at all.

very nice - i almost bought the L4 myself (only $120) - but instead opted for the Zenitar 16mm fisheye for my xt. I wanted both, but could only afford one at the moment.
a pocketable camera for me will most likely have to wait till christmas
