Usually I dread having to call technical support for anything, but I have to say that SanDisk technical support is awesome. Very fast, easy, friendly and no silly questions... two RMA's in less than two minutes.

Go SanDisk!

Not that anyone has responded but just thought I'd update my original post:

Sent my 2 dead Extreme 512 CF cards in to SanDisk via FedEx 2 day express (at their expense), they arrived on time and with no problems. They emailed me to notify me of the arrival.

24 hours later they emailed me and notified me that 2 replacement cards were shipped out via UPS Ground (at their expense).

Day or two later recieved an email from a customer service rep to let me know they were happy to have been able to help me and to please let them know if I have any more problems, and thanks for my business.

Guess sometimes it pays to spend a little bit more money and get a product from a quality company.
