I take a lot of band photos, and edit them a bunch, and they look perfectly clean and fine in photoshop. I upload them onto my smugmug and they look fine there.

however, once a band puts them on their myspace they look pixley
is this myspaces fault, or am i doing something wrong?

They're probably letting myspace resize them, or they're using a crappy program or method to do it themselves. Offer to do it for them so your stuff don't look like crapolla.

Are the pixel dimensions the same on myspace as they are as you posted them on smugmug?

They are not that different. I'm not sure what you're worried about. The MySpace one is 40+ Kb, yours is 60+ Kb (both relatively low resolution) and they both look ok for general consumption...

I think there is a problem with myspace photos, I often have put photos up on myspace and they are pixellated, I have tried uploading with different file sizes, as far as I can tell its the nature of the beast. maybe try really high res and upload, or use your smugmug photo and have them put the photo into their myspace page instead of the photos page.
