Met Artan at last weekend's Pbase meetup and he kindly pointed me to this meeting. Would love to attend and look forward to meeting you all.

So far Artan and AjAger have emailed me confirming they're coming :) If people could email me then I'll pass on my phone number to you so that it is easier to meet up :)

I am so sorry I cannot make it. I am moving home on sunday so this week really sucks.

I hope you have a great time and I hope to meet other DPCers in UK soon. If you try a Mexican restaurant let me know ;) I haven't tried any here in Manchester.

Yes, I need to make sure that I've got the relevant 'phone numbers, as nobody will recognise me in a crowd.

well, unless you were stood between MeatLoaf and Buster BloodVessel I'm sure you'd be spotted ;)

Pennies are tight for me this month but I might make a wildcard (anybody want to buy a Sigma 300/2.8 plus 1.4 and 2x converters?)

Hello everyone!
I am currently studying abroad at Leeds University and would love to meet up with you guys, but unfortunately I will be in Birmingham on Sat. If it gets pushed back a week or there is any others in England before Dec. or if any of you come by Leeds, Let me know!

I am willing to go anywhere that I can get via train since I got a nice rail pass that gets me lots of travel with little money :)

Natalya, PM coming your way shortly

That's the plan. I'm going to be picking up Alionic, sorry, MAK, and heading on down there. I haven't told him yet that I drive a Skoda. I'll let him find out on the day.

If you're going to be there, then I'll be looking forward to it even more.

Yes hopefully I will be there and may even have Ecce in tow (unless I can 'lose' him somewhere on the way). Really look forward to meeting you :o) I believe the two of us owe you a big thank you!

Ain't Skoda made in Germany now by VW?

Fully booked if anybody was thinking of it. I'd be happy if there are any other ideas twixt London and Bristol for either the Friday/Saturday night and maybe a good sunrise spot?

edited to say my first car was a Skoda, twin Webber Carbs and still the 2nd fastest car I've ever owned ;)

New list looks like this:

Konador (Ben)
Artan (Ian)
benhur (Ben)
AJAger (Alan)
bunyarra (Mike)
MAK (Marac)
talj (Natalya)
Ecce Signum (Andi) - Maybe?

Don't think I've missed anyone...

The weather doesn't look to bad at the moment, but I'd probably recommend bringing something in case of rain anyway.

How about if we aim for 12:30-1:00 for having a meal somewhere near the centre (plenty of choice, anyone have food preferences?) and those of us who are there beforehand can wander around snapping or chatting or whatever, gradually meeting people as they turn up. I can email my mobile number so people can contact me when they arrive. Once we have numbers I can book a place somewhere for lunch. Then we can slowly wander up to Clifton (about a 30-40 minute walk without stopping but I expect we'll be slow, what with taking pictures of things left right and centre and everything - plus I might get us lost hehe).

Sounds a fine plan. Look forward to seeing you all there.

Update: We have another, benhur is coming too :)

For those who wonder about parking, the nearest and most convenient car park is shown on this map: //tinyurl.com/ydx9re

You can see College Green, just south, which is where we are meeting. For those getting the bus from the station, they usually will drop you off on Baldwin Street, to the right of the centre.

If anyone has any questions now is the time to ask :P

Cya all tomorrow!

Okay, lunch.

We talked about Mexican earlier in the thread but I wondered if everyone was still up for that? There's a Mexican place in the centre, which I've never been to, but has great reviews: //tinyurl.com/ybb68r

If everyone wants to I can see if I can book a table for 9 there tomorrow at around 1pm? If not, any other suggestions? I'm not 100% sure we'll be able to book everywhere but we could always invade somewhere maybe.

edit: I just phoned and they said they would accept a booking for that time for 9. Just need people to confirm in the thread if possible! If I have no complaints by about 7 tonight I'll go ahead and book it.
