I have been looking online at camera/lens pricing and it sure seems like the prices on Canon products came down after the rebate ended...this makes the rebates seem less attractive...

Looks like they came down about $20-$30. I take it this means the drebel replacement is soon to be announced? |

i dont think we are in for another rebel upgrade for a while, they usually wait a while (18 months i think) in between new cameras, and the 30d came out fairly recently. but i might be wrong :/

There is a big announcement from canon on the 24th of august, and the 350D is about 18 months old...
You never know!

Yup, probably a Canon 400 (or whatever they will call it) announcement with it.

If there is it'll probably just be a 350D with a larger screen. I cant see what else they could do, otherwise nobody would buy the 30D! Maybe a budget DSLR to compete with the d50? |

That Bob Atkins site seemed to say the $300 rebate on the 5D had been extended to Oct 31st? Am I reading wrong or is this true? I couldn't find anything on Canon's site about it. |
