Really like that shot. Great idea for the slave. Can I borrow your son, your flashes....and, um, your brain next time????

Another thing I'd like to buy is a nice warming reflector. I think that might help with these outdoor portraits as well.

The first thing that jumps out at me is the cloths. There's nothing wrong with being casual, but they should be casual with the same color scheme and contrast types. His white tee-shirt stands out too much and draws too much attention away from both of them. The color of her's is not really a out doors color (think earth tones) and clashes with the colors around them. What this does is draw attention away from their faces, which is the most important part of the pictures.

Since you are shooting outdoors and in casual attire, tops that are more matched in color and tone would be better... say denim shirts or darker all solid colors. I know dark is not that great for hot humid weather, but for pictures, it would probably be the best choice. Both with white shirts would be a second choice.

You need to level some of them and the black and white conversions need more contrast. They show up a bit gray so upping the contrast a bit will help.

You did good on exposure and really, the poses are not that bad either. You might try getting them out there early in the morning when it's a bit cooler... but then, if they aren't morning people, that might show too. LOL!

Thanks Mike. The contrast looks good on my monitor, so I'm not sure I want to change that. My prints turn out fine based on how my monitor is set.

I agree about the clothing. I'd really like to do a reshoot with them, but he's not so keen on the whole idea of photos so it may have to wait a little while.
