This photo for my framed assignment?

One of the projects I have due for my class assignment is framed. I like this photo, but I am on the fence as to whether or not submit it as an project for class. Can I please have the collective opions of the DPC group?

Any advice is greatly APPRECIATED.

From the way this image is laid out it appears the subject is the gazebo rather than the "framed" sailboat. If the opportunity exists, I would reshoot to come in tighter. The other option is to crop this but then you could have other issues. Do you have a polarizer, even a UV filter? It would help with the sky some and take out some of the blue haze by the sailboat.

I do undestand where you see that, but I am also using the trees and brush to frame around the gazebo. It is supposed to appear that way.
The sky is definately blown out, which really surprises me, since it was dusk when I shot this.

I see what you are saying with the bushes framing the hut, but that really doesn't do much for the shot. I'd agree with glad2badad and suggest cropping it tighter so its just the boat through the gazebo. Sky doesn't look blown out to me, I can make out clouds and some color from the sun, it just needs some curves to add a bit of contrast. could probably knock out most of the haze in front of the boat via curves as well, it's not too bad.
