I'm seeing jagged lines in this shot, do you?

I haven't hit this with USM at all. This happens when I size the image down to 640x480 and happens regardless of what algorithm I choose (smoother, sharper, etc). These lines should be very clean as in the full size shot. Any suggestions?

edit: I see them directly under the stone where it meets the glass panes.

it's not really strong enough to worry about, IMO.

what mode are you saving in when you save for web?

Not sure what you mean by mode. I convert it to srgb and then save it 100% quality, but this happens before I get to that point. As soon as the image is resized.

are you saving it in "save image for web" or in save as?... also which version of PS are you using?

Save for Web, and CS2.

i have to go.. but i would take the image (without resizing) go into
file> save for web> then change the imiage size> and try the different options (i tihink its bicubic and smooth and others) until you get the jaggies to go away :) hope that helps

Try resizing in a series of smaller steps. (For example, 2048px to 1500 to 1000 to 640, each done separately. This should take care of the jaggies.

That did the trick. Thanks for the tip! Looks much better (though I still see a little of it).
