Alright...I don't know how many of you guys have been following my posts, but I recently got offered to have a gallery sponsored by the restaraunt chain Chipotle. After doing some looking around and checking up on things, I booked a spot in one of the local book stores here in town to do a three day gallery in late September for three days. All of the proceeds from the selling of my prints will go toward funding for the new book that I am writing. It is going to be an inspirational book for teenagers and highschoolers about traveling. I think that kids in the US today are being spoon fed that they have to go to college right after highschool, and they have to get a job right after college....most kids are not ready for college right away. Perhaps this is the reason that a lot of colleges have a 40% or higher drop out rate, and also this may be the reason why in almost every other part of the world it is commonplace to take a "Gap Year" to travel after highschool. I'm going to take eight or so months and travel around the world...writing, photographing, and documenting the trip the entire way....and then put all of this into a book that encourages kids to go out and explore the world.
The gallery will be a silent auction lasting three days...and everyone who bids on one of my photos gets a free burrito (Exciting!). The person who has the highest bid at the end of the three days, gets the photo.
Putting on this gallery is going to take some money, for prints, matting, and framing, etc. I also want to hold the auction online as well as in the gallery, that way you guys can bid on the photo's if you wish. Because of both of these things I am going to hold a Benefit/Test online auction. The proceeds from this will go towards the prints/framing of the photo's I'm putting in the gallery. The following five pictures will go on auction a soon as this thread is made...if you wish to place a bid on them send me a pm or email me at calebphoto@yahoo.com contaning the number of the photo and your bid.
The person who has the highest bid on a photo after the Sunday night rollover will get the picture, I will contact the winners through PM's. All of the photo's in this auction and my actual gallery auction in two months will be one of a kind....no other prints of these photo's will ever exist. Each one will be signed and dated.
Here are the photo's:

Remember, the highest bidder at the end of rollover on Sunday gets the picture...
Thanks a bunch for putting up with all of my thread on this subject, and thanks a whole bunch for all the support....I'd never have been able to do this without this website and the people on it. Thanks!
Caleb

Caleb,
it might help a lot if you told us what size print we are bidding on, and whether it is framed, matted, whatever...

Oops...I knew I was forgetting something. The prints will be 8x10...or the equivilant (10x10, 12x6 for the two odd shaped ones.) The prints will be matted but not framed...for shipping purposes, and I know a lady that is really good at matting artwork. Oh...and I will cover the shipping costs, so no need to worry there.
Sorry about that, if theres any other questions feel free to let me know.
