Well, I've got my beautiful new camera and lenses, but the problem is, it won't fit in my old case! So I was wondering what some suggestions might be. I have :
Canon 350D
Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 (that's the big thing)
Canon 50mm 1.8
I'm just looking for something nice, lots of protection for my new toys, and not extremely expensive.
Thanks for your help,
Kevin |

Crumplers are awesome but expensive.... but if you look on ebay like I did you can get some at good prices I just got an awesome Crumpler bag off ebay for 45 bucks. Been using it a week now and love it. It was used but in mint condition nothing wrong with it at all.

Shoulder, sling or backpack? What's you're preference?
I have the Lowepro mini-trekker and it would hold that plus more.
I've also just ordered a Pelican hard case which comes with a shoulder bag that you can get at your gear from top or side.
The backpack is great for hikes, biking etc but can get inconvenient. Hence, the new case on order. |

faidoi: I'd say enough room for now. I'm going to Europe, so I need one just for what I have now.
digitalpins: I'll have to check those out, never heard of them before. Thanks for the suggestion. |

Backpacks seem really nice to me... hold a lot, and it could also just be my carry-on bag for the airplanes to hold a few other items like iPod, snacks, etc.

if you're going on a trip, then i'd suggest the crumpler bags as well, despite the cost.
reason? they open from the back (under the straps) meaning two things, you don't have to lay the part you put against your back on the ground when you open it (thus getting your back dirty when you put it back on) and no one can unzip your bag and remove items in a crowd...
crumpler was my second choice, though... i ended up w/ a kata r-103...

| Another idea might be to buy padded inserts that fit into any simple non-descript backpack or messenger bag. |

I prefer the Lowepro Stealth bags.
I took mine when I went to Europe, it was awesome.
You might look into a waistbelt, since you don't have a lot of gear.
Backpacks sound like a great idea, abut once you realize that to do anything, you have to stop and take it off, they are not so appealing. |

| One question about the Lowepro Stealth....Can I put my camera with my lense attached in there? In the pictures it shows the body with all the lenses detached....Just wondering, as I don't want to be changing lenses anytime I want to take a picture. |

Yes, It goes in and sits with the lens pointed down. The body with no lens is supposed to show that you can have a spare body in the bag too. |

How about the
Canon 200EG? I have had mine for 2yrs now. It seems to be just the right size. I have a smaller Canon bag as well as the monsterous Tamrac Expedition 8, and I still use the 200EG the most.
For $35 w/free shipping at Amazon....it's a hellova deal :)
