| I'm looking for a good P&S camera that is a little more portable than my Nikon D70's are. But I want it to have the same image quality (or at least as close as I can get) as the D70 has. I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I would like a decent zoom on it and some image stabilization of some type... |

I have both the Panasonic FZ5 and TZ1 and love them both. Sold most of my DSLR stuff because they suit my purpose. The TZ1 has no view finder if that matters. Both have at least 10x zoom, IS and very easy to use menu systems. Neither have tons of manual controls but enough for me. I recently went to Amsterdam, took 3 cameras and used the TZ1 95% of the time. People talk about the Panasonic noise but I haven't found it to be much of a problem but I don't do a lot of low light shooting. All of my highest scores have come from one of these cameras.
