I was taking shots earlier today with my 1GB Lexar Pro CF card. The pics came out fine. When I turned the camera back on and went through the pictures, this is what showed up on 2 of the pictures.

Now, I used a completely different lens for these 2 pics. I know it doesn't have anything to do with the picture... but it's still weird.

Does this mean my whole card is corrupt? Or just those 2 files? Should I try reformatting the card and see if it does it again?

I'm just worried. I have a wedding Saturday, and this is one of the cards that I use on a regular basis.

Ugh!

Thanks,
Lorrie

I would bring another card just in case.

Not sure I'd trust a card that is corrupting files to a wedding.

Yeah... I agree. I think I just need to go out and get a new one. Does this mean the whole card is bad though?

Probably not, but definitely not trustworthy for gigs such as wedding. For a portrait session, I'd use it (maybe), but never for a wedding.

If it is failing, it could become worse, at an inopportune time.

I wouldn't trust it.

You can however run "error checking" on it to check for bad sectors though. If you're in windows goto "My Computer" and then right click on the drive the card shows up as. Then goto properties. a window will pop up with a "tools" tab. click on the "error checking" button and select all the options. If there are actual bad sectors on the disk that should tell you.
