It's no big deal. The only pic I had ribbon was DQ'ed because I had removed a dust spot without thinking. It happens to us all. |

Hey Steve...
I understand how you felt like you've been accused...
It's just part of the rules that we got to play by.
The site councils are just trying to do their job... no point feeling insulted over this...
Come on... Let move on...
By the way... stopped by your webby... it's still under construction...
I look forward to more great shots you'll be taking...
:)
Cheers

I was asked for orig one time. for the Straight From the Camera Challenge. It was validated. But i could never figure out why it was requested in the first place.

When I got asked for a validation, I was flattered that some insecure narc felt threatened enough to fink on my picture!

Question... If you have processed an image, and you are asked for validation, do you have to send the original file, and also the photoshop file? how do you know wich steps of post processing have been done to a picture? |

Only the automagic you-must-submit-or-we'll-torch-your-sauna-and-drain-your-hot-tub kind.
It's different when requested by someone, it means they care enough to really look at my photo. Once again I've lived up to my photographic style; I make people say, "Yeah I like it well enough, I just don't want to see it again."

You only have to send the original, and a summary of the processing you did. If we can't duplicate your results to a reasonable degree, then we may ask for additional processing details; that's not usually required though. |

You should be honored to submit proof. I haven't submitted an image good enough to draw a verification request. Grow a thick skin around here. No one means anything personally. They just want to help. That's the nice thing about the internet. You can't see their faces to judge their emotions. Therefor you usually reflect your own. ;) Keep entering.
You'll be bragging about your ribbon soon. |

You can only "UNDO" to a certain level. I often Clone so many times that I fill the Undo buffer and can't go back. If you create a layer and hide the original. You can always delete the copy and have something to go back to. I prefer to make a copy of the original FILE instead of a copy of a Layer, but different people are taught different ways. |
not undo or back. i know that has its limits. a certain number of steps backwards. but revert is a completely different button which takes you back to it as it was originanly. no matter what youve done. it sounds like the same as this duplicate layer thing. |
Revert will only go back to the last save, and you should be saving your work as you go, especially on complicated projects.
