Hey everyone, first off thank you for all your votes and comments on my Ground Up entry, I really appreciate it. Keep up the good work!
Anyway, while voting a few of you asked where this is located:
It's in Utah, about 20 or so miles from the Nevada / Utah border. It was created by Swedish artist Karl Momen and placed in the Salt Flats in 1986. If you Google Utah Tree you should come up with some interesting information.

Thanks for posting, I was one of your baffled commenters... I see from googling that the half a cantaloupe is supposed to be a tree-pod.. and they're relatively tiny. You must have gotten right under the one in your photo ;-) Nice going.
