I'm all growded up.
Just placed an order earlier today for a brand new Canon 30D body to replace the 300D!
It's a present I'm making to myself for busting my ass all spring and half of the summer to get ready for a super important job interview. And guess what? I got the job! A $12K/yr increase and no more working nights and weekends. Woohoo!
So here's to me and my new camera. |

But you know, 'growing up' is more than getting an SLR. Some day, once you pass photographic adolescence, you might buy a Nikon ;-)!
Kidding aside, enjoy your 30D! I've handled one before and it was quite nice. The real fun starts once you have it for a couple months and start beating the crap out of it. |

That's right. Almost done working with Snoopy. I'm going to miss the little guy.
Because this new job is going to keep me VERY busy and away from home sometimes, I have requested that Snoopy either be put up for adoption or reassigned to another handler. I just wouldn't feel right having this exceptional little pooch stuck at home all day, waiting for his playtime and walk. Not fait to him whatsoever.
As it happens, one of our handlers is returning from maternity leave and needs a dog. I think the powers that be are planning to give my Snoopy to her. He's a great little hound and has years of good work ahead of him. I am very happy to see that he will be able to continue what he does so well.

You'll love the 30D compared to the 300. Big step up in many small (and not so small) ways.
Good thing it has low noise at high iso - not that you're working days you'll be shooting nights! ;P |
