what makes these blue edges on some of my photos?
I don't use filter at this point, just got myself the "Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD for Pentax" and this picture with full zoom.

This seems cromatic aberration (CA). It's made by some lenses in high contrast situations. For example my canon 17-85 have this problem.
If you use Adobe Camera Raw (a plugin for Photoshop) you can get rid of them quite easily.

I think that is chromatic aberation. It has to do with different colors of light going through glass at different speeds. Usually worse the further you get away from the center of the frame. Some raw programs correct for this. |

Chromatic aberration or Purple fringing... |

Thanks... I will try to use the plug-in (I think I already installed it to my CS2)... I had these kinds of blue edges also with my previous camera Panasonic LZ2, when I zoom in fully (6X). this time I get them clearer, a little larger and not all around the edge but some part of the edges, which makes "some light going into glass different speed" theory correct i believe.
