Well I had entered a photo at Picture.com before I found DPC, and now I get this letter in the mail telling me that my picture was chosen for publication in the Endless Journeys publication thingy,lol, so it will be published nationally.
They also told me that my picture will be re-entered in the next level of competition. So I'm kind of excited right now. |

I hate to rain on your parade, but I got the same thing. I did a little more research and it's somewhat of a scam. They publish the book and everything, but it's just a book of a bunch of the photos that got entered. It's basically a cheap way for them to make a lot of money off of you, becuase of course everyone wants a book with their published photo in it. Also, from what I've read and can tell, the competetion part of it is a scam. It sounds like they don't actually ever award winners and nobody ever gets that prize money they say they give out. Sorry to burst your bubble.

There are several of them affiliated ... poetry.com, etc. All are scams to make YOU spend money to see your work printed. If they really want your work ... REALLY... they'll pay YOU!

They have never offered to scam me. |

Well I wasn't really planning on buying the book anyway. Thanks for letting me know.
I would love to put the picture on here, but I'm not a member so the only pics I can put on are challenge pics. :( I hope to be a member soon. |

yup same here, my wife has had 2 photos selected, amazingly enough they wanted us to buy a 50 dollar book, When we decided to give the book a miss, We somehow disqualified.
