Would/could someone please tell me what category in the galleries might contain these kinds of shots? My sons have a band and I would love to get some decent shots of them while they are performing (thinking composition to start out). If there is a search function to use keywords I can't seem to find it.

i had the same doubt weeks ago, what i did is look in google for shots of many concerts, it works.
i have some in my page to ;)

look under the "performance" gallery. there seems to be quite a few band shots there
Then I would suggest once you find a photo you like, click on that person's profile to find more, because not everybody puts all there photos into categories

a bunch of K.C & The Sunshine Band here:
(was my 1st effort at shooting a band/group on stage)

Here is a photo i took last weekend of a 70's era disco/pop group.
Formally know as Sly and the Family Stone. Now called the Family Stone Experience, It was an outdoor event and overcast sky
