Just wondering if I may sneak a few views an maybe a comment on a quick image I took today on the way home from work... using my Canon Powershot A520, which I happened to have with me.

Here's my take on it. Straightened the crane and played with colours a bit. |

I like the pattern of the structure of the crane against the deep blue sky and the other colors of the sunset. I also like the straightening of the crane, but in doing so, you inevitably lose the end of the crane's arm, which makes a difference. |

Possible but tedious solution would be to clone a section of the right hand empty sky space to make the gap between then end of the crane arm and the edge of the picture wider. Then when you rotate to fix the lean, the crane arm stays in the pic, cos I do agree, it looks better with it in.
For example:
It is a great sky, and the crane gives a point of interest to the shot, making it more than just a beautiful sunset. |
