I bought a $89.00 cheapo Phoenix ring light from Adorama. It came today via 2nd day air.

I put in the batteries and nuttin happened except the screeeeee of it firing up and then the battery chamber gets so hot, I think it's going nuclear. It never gets all the way to being able to test it no less, fire it.

Of course this all happened at 4:35 five minutes after Adorama's CS department closed.

Of course I didn't see the lousy review someone gave it, until this afternoon.

Please tell me, they are good about exchanges and do the exchanpe promptly...please?

I heard they were fine but I never returned anything.

Thanks. I am always a bundle of nerves when I have to deal with the big boys in NYC.

Years ago, they used to eat women Photogs for lunch I think. Calling them used to be pretty scary. :)

A friend bought a wide angle add on to his camera and it didn't work as he liked and he returned it there with no problems. Mail order return.
