Hi.

I need som good advice. What I am looking for is a media player that will show minutes, seconds AND 100's of seconds. I only have Windows Media Player, the PowerDVD player and the one from Nero and they only show minutes and seconds.
Thank you.

Is this for a one time project or you just want something permanent? Audacity will show the information but it's a sound editor, not a media player. I'd maybe check for a winamp plugin. I'll look more in a bit but have to run for now!

I really need to both see and hear what is going on. I will not have a manuscript, just a lot of tapes.
Thank you for taking the time to check for me.

Aah, video. Didn't even think of that. Maybe //www.transana.org/ ? I've come across a few others but that's the only free one I've seen so far.

Edited to add - don't know if you've done transcription before but if not, I'd recommend looking into a foot pedal as well. There are usb foot pedals available that will work with that software.

Do you have Windows Movie Maker? You probably have it if you're running XP, if not it's a free download from Microsoft (I think). It's a simple editing program, but shows hundredths of a second.

Thank you both. Both programs seem a little more complicated than the average media player. It needs to be more simple, no filefetching. It is ok if it costs a few bucks, just as long as it isn't a bundle.
Any suggestions are welcome.
