Last week I looked at the stats on my profile and noticed I was at 9998 votes received. It put me back in my chair a bit. I was going to hit 10,000 with the next challenge if only the blind members of DPC voted.

Disclaimer:

(Mike with his poor sense of humor only mentioned blind people as a figure of speech; Mike did not mean to offend blind people at all with this senseless use of their affliction to garner a bit of irony. Mike has no information or knowledge of members of DPC who are case in fact blind or becoming blind. Anyone who has given him a 1 in a challenge [though for all intense and purposes is blind] which is the moral equivalent of being blind unless it was on that Nude II challenge, I apologize again for that.)

Did I deserve this honor? Well I figured I should address this issue and do it publicly. I know by doing so I am opening up myself to arrows and slings of some who may not like me personally, or some who would argue with me on every subject from cops harassing me, stealing of peopleĆ¢€™s images and how to prevent it, obnoxious comments on images, plan old ugly people who nobody likes and think I should have taken up wood carving instead of photography.

But you know what? This is not for them, this is for the over 10,000 votes and the people who cast them on my images who took some time out of their last year and told me what they thought about my images by voting one way or the other. I must admit though, all of you who voted 1, 2 or 3, on any of my images can take some time off from voting, even though in some cases it was deserved. LOL.

Now I know compared to some 10,000 votes received is chump change Jutiltda over 23,000 (but she had a year and a half head start on me.) Sonifo 38,327 (tons of ribbons too) But I can say this; I do appreciate every vote and want to thank you.

With all its bumps and starts and disagreements with members and the all powerful SC members, I have learned a lot and made some great friends.
