yes, those are the actual camera settings... setting to f4 with the ir filter on would have the same effect as normal, less depth of field and more light, giving me even shorter exposure times... but i like to do a bit higher w/ landscapes...

well... you hurt my feelings... now i'm going to cry to the SC and admins, demand clarfication of the TOS, start a thread and whine and pout and refuse to behave like an adult...
oh wait... that's a different thread... sorry...

So I may be able to grab an old Nikon Coolpix 5700 from my brother. The question there is how do you best attach the filter to the lens. Is the lens threaded? If so, I may buy a 77mm (which my other lenses are ) and then try to find a 77 to whatever mm adapter.
Any ideas?

Be careful or they'll call for an all IR Challenge like they did with Glass and Flowers! |

The Hoya R72 IR filter is around $230 at 2filter.com...they have great prices and excellent service.
Elsapo bought a 77mm Suntek IR filter from ebay for around $60 and his zen pic ribboned.
Just bought one from ebay for around $60 as well. It is not the Hoya but come on, that price is ridiculous. Have not gotten it yet but am looking forward to using it.
