I know you can't submit a photo to both a macro and micro site...
but can you submit the same photo to say... Alamy and Myloupe?
This clause should allow us to right?
2.4 CONTRIBUTOR retains copyright in its Accepted Images. MYLOUPE shall advise its licensees and Third Party Licensees to include a credit notice where appropriate along with the Accepted Images. Such notice may include MYLOUPE's name as the source of the Image. MYLOUPE recommends that the CONTRIBTOR register all Images with the Copyright Office before they are uploaded. While MYLOUPE is not authorized to commence copyright infringement actions on behalf of the CONTRIBUTOR, it shall assist the CONTRIBUTOR in enforcing his/her copyright wherever possible and commercially reasonable.
Thanks
Eric

Unless there's an exclusivity agreement, then yes. |

I know on PhotographerDirect, there is an explicit warning that your account won't even gain approval if you work with a micro site. Where on Alamy's policy is this printed?
I know of a few people who did their initial QC check with images that had been top sellers on SS, IS, DT, and other micro sites.. only to delete them from micro once they were approved from macro. Did Alamy close that loophole? |
