		Hello, this is my first post.
 
 I have to translate in Italian this: "Spot Edit".
 Since I can't understand the exact particular idiomatic expression, can you describe me the meaning of it?

		For example, when you use a clone tool in Photoshop to remove sensor dust that appears in your photographs.

		Any editing that is applied to a selected portion of the image as opposed to the entire image at once; anything that requires you to make a selection, plus such things as burning and dodging, cloning, dust spot removal, applying gradients and the like.
