 the reds always seem oversaturated in the sun, this is shot apture pryority, decreased sat master by 2.in cs2 still seems loud.....Whats the secret

White balance, use "sun" on a overcast day and "cloudy" on a sunny day. Try that out and see the difference without any adjustments to the saturation.

shoot in raw...and you shouldn't have decreased the red in this shot..it needs more IMO, it's not really popping.
Perhaps your monitor needs a calibration. |

| If you shot in JPEG with the default camera settings, it's not too surprising that bright primary colors are oversaturated. Most cams in this class, including both Nikon and Canon models, do produce rather contrasty, high-saturation images by default. You can tweak the color settings to be more neutral. You may have to do some internet research for your camera to discover what settings will produce accurate colors with "natural" levels of saturation. A good resource might be the Nikon forums over at DPReview.com. |
