Go to Vista Print and all you do is pick out your free Business card ( think there is like 45 to choose from that are free) and fill it out Register and all you pay is shipping. 21 day mail is $5 and some change 14 day mail is like $9 and some change.... check it out.

Edit: oh yeah you get like 250 mailed to you and you can keep going back to the site and getting free ones.

Keep in mind that the Vistaprint logo is printed on the back of your business card so it's pretty obvious to anyone you give your card to that you opted for the freebie.

I've used VistaPrint for years now. I upload my own design and wait until they're doing premium cards for free. I end up paying $5 for the custom design, $5 for my own picture on back and shipping. Total ~$14 per 250 cards.

I print customized cards in small numbers in which have the bride on them and hand them out at her reception. On the back I have the URL which points to where people can go to see the B&G's pictures. It's a nice "freebie" for the friends and family of the B&G and it gets me some exposure as well.

I have used Overnight Prints for most of my business card printing. But keep seeing the Visa Print ads for cheap or low-cost printing, so I was just about set to try them out. I had everything uploaded and was getting my order ready. And then came to a screeching halt.

By the time I set the options for Vista Print to give me the same "quality and features" as what I was getting at Overnight Prints, it ended up costing *more* than Overnight Prints.

So I highly recommend checking out Overnight Prints instead. Overnight Prints does quality work. I'm very satisfied with them.

perfect, I have been meaning to get some cards done up, and free is perfect for my little hobby. (ie not business, really) so it doesn't matter to me if they have their logo on the back or not. :-) Can't go arround with L glass and have people not stop and ask you, well at least when the L glass is the 70-200 with a 1.4 extender :-) plus an 80/20 on the flash. It looks impressive at least :-) Someday my photography skills will even match my equipment... hahahaha naw....

....
Order placed... figured there is no better day then today

The other option to keep in mind is the print-your-own kits made by Avery. I bought one at Staples. Each page holds 30 cards that punch out without rough edging or anything after you run them through the inkjet printer.

I designed my own with a Pagemaker-type program, but I'm sure PS would work too. They're exactly as I want them, and look just as professional as most others, and the whole package was about $12. Pretty good for doing small batches, or if you're going to be changing email/website/design often - or even to have a couple of event-oriented designs.

Although I will be checking out the shipping-only cards that Givemeashot posted about once I get everything set in stone, because 250 for that price is good. I just don't want to get them, then change some bit of info, and have 200 worthless cards lying about!

I get my cards through Vistaprint and have never had a problem with them. Everything has been done to perfection and they have been more than professional.

I've used vistprint as well - the cheapest prices i could find. I designed it in PS, made a JPG and uploaded. Due for another round of cards real soon, gonna go back to them.

Just need to know what the changes are gonna be...

Anyone else have problems with Vista? I ordered my 'premium' cards from them that I designed. I used their template to get it the right size. The ones I printed on my home printer looked 10 times better! The cards from them were thin and the text was not razor sharp and seemed to have a bit of a red tint to it.

Any thoughts?

The card I ordered through them:

I had this same exact experience! Except I think we got a coupon or something from them in the mail (my husband prints alot of his brochures and postcards through them). I normally order my business cards through Overnight Prints, but was in need of new ones due to some info. that needed to be updated.

So I thought I'd try them out, but like David said, buy the time I uploaded my 2-sided, full color, personalized card it was going to cost quite a bit more then it would've through Overnight prints, so I ordered through them instead. Their cards are great!

I've never tried Vistaprints free ones but probably wouldn't if they print their logo on them like MK suggests. There's always a catch. :)
