I used to grade homework for engineering classes.
I was mean if you were collaborating, blatantly copying or trying to be sneaky by doing a bunch of wrong work, then just putting the right answer down at the end.
I left notes in red ink like: "Miracle steps require a note from the deity of your choice"
Or, upon discovering that two students had copied each other, I would grade the problem, then divide the score in two and give each student half of the grade, along with a note like : You and X shared the work, so you can share the score too."
The prof laughed when the students complained. He helped me stay anonymous the whole term, because there would have been a mob with torches and pitchforks hunting me down. |
