| I do a lot of wedding and studio photography and have a canon 10 and 20D. I wish to sell my 10D and buy the Canon 1Ds Mark11. Is this a good camera? My other question is - which is the best laptop to use for photoshop? I would really appreciate any advice on this. |

Hey Jean! IMHO the 1Ds II is a bit of overkill. A 5D is probably more practical in your situation and at 1/3 the price of a 1Ds II.
The 15" Apple MacBook Pro is the best bang for your buck and no worries of Viruses and Trojans and whatnot. |

| yeah, it's a fantastic camera, a dream infact. Most times though the 5D will be nearly as good. |

I just ordered that MacBook Pro with the glossy screen for this very reason. As soon as it arrives, I am going to be so mobile! :-)

I might be biased :-) but as previously posted, look seriously at the 5D. Though there seems to be a big difference in Mpx (1DsII=16.7 vs 5D=12.7) the difference in image quality is negligible. The 5D has been very popular with wedding photographers and has been recieving very high marks from them, for good reason. It's a fantastic low-light camera, and in general the images it produces are absolutely top-notch.
If you don't absolutely need specific features of the 1-series, you can buy two 5D bodies for less than a single 1DsII. |
