I got these rainbow shots the other day. I haven't photographed rainbows before.

this is the original version...


and here is another editted one from a different angle..


Is there some way I could edit these to show the colours of the rainbow better?

put the sky in its own layer, the use your favorite set of tools. you can try dodging the rainbow and burning the sky, or you could change the opacity of the sky layer to multiply, then use a mask to tone done everything but the rainbow. you've got something nice to work with, so have fun experimenting.

i know rainbows can be very fleeting, but, next time you see one, scout around for something that will make your image even more than a photo of a rainbow ;-)

Thanks skip. I love your shot by the way. I'll mess around with it and see what I can do. I don't have photoshop so I'll have to see if I can translate some of what you said into something I can use.
