I am definitely coming as well. My supervisor said it's no problem but I have to wait for the middle of the week for the board to approve the paid time off so that it's official.

I'm going to go ahead and order my ticket today anyway. I hope it's not sold out already! I'm going to call first thing in the morning when they open. 12:05AM...only 8 hours 55 minutes until I can order tickets by phone....... They need to get a 24/7 instant online order form.

Don't worry about them selling out on a Monday the museum itself is closed. They do take phone orders though on Monday.

I was just reminded by my 7 year old that Railfest means we have to bake cookies the night before the trip. You know got to have that old fashion feeling to the trip.

Beside chocolate chip cookies anyone got a favorite?

Just a quick little note to let everyone know we are planning to meet at 9am Sunday at the Station Mall McDonald's then walk across the bridge to the train station no later than 9:30 to board the train. Would everyone who is planning to come please let me know so I am sure we wait at McDonald's as long as possible before heading to the station. Don't want to miss anyone.

You will all be coming into Altoona on I-99 take the 17th Street exit and go to 9th Ave, turn right then get in the left lane and make the first left turn into the Station Mall parking lot. McDonald's is on the right as you come into the parking lot. Park out away from McDonald's so you don't have to move your car again. Just look for this cute kid, wearing a propeller hat //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=15722

Weather report for Sunday...Sunshine along with some passing clouds. High 53F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph.

Thats all for tonight...I'll post a few photos tomorrow of the parade and other activities we get to.

Bring your camera, spare batteries, and monopod or tripod and don't forget to wear the well worn but most comfortable pair of shoes ya got! LOL you will want them.

Found out this evening that the tickets are sold out. But if you didn't get a ticket yet please call either 1-888-4-ALTOONA or (814) 946 0834 around 10 Saturday morning. There may be more tickets available then, after an exact count of seats per car are done. They estimate the number of seats available and then allow for a margin of error, which allows them to have extra tickets at the last minute.

Got my tickets and got the day off, so I'll definitely be there. Looks like it's gonna be cold, I'll have dig out the winter clothes. I also need to charge my camera batteries and empty out my memory cards. So much to do!
