I just checked my stats for the Zen challenge and was very sad to see that my shot was Dq'd. I really thought I had stayed within legal limits as to how much cloning was allowed... drag. I will have to find another way to take this shot as I really liked the image. Thats the down.

The up is I just checked my profile to see if the dq'd image shows up there yet and I discovered that I won a ribbon for the rhythm 11 challenge. In the wake of Rikki's recent problems I have been bumped up from fourth to third for my "Irish Rhythm" shot. :D

Sorry for the Dq but WAHOOO!!! for the new ribbon. Thanks to all who looked and voted on my shot

It would be interesting to know what constitutes "excessive cloning", as we all indulge - hopefully, not to excess.

Congrats! It's nice that you received the recognition you really earned back then.

Sorry about the DQ.

Edited to add that it's great to see such joy in a yellow from someone who's won so many ribbons. Good to know it doesn't get ho-hum!

I did not think it was excess but the SC thought otherwise. I accept their decision. I am currently wracking my brain to take the shot again legally ... look for it soon :)

Cole thats a bummer about your DQ, I knew which entry was yours and have seen some others that used similar techniques and passed validation. But congrats to your belated ribbon! I ove all your family shots and to help you more up I added you to my favorite photographers! (I thought I already had.

I doubt it will ever get to be "ho-hum" this site is filled with awesome photograhers. Any ribbon is a big thing. :D

I'm not thrilled with the circumstances that caused the turn around, but it is still very rewarding to get the yellow. Thanks
