My dad recently took me with him on a nature cruise to the Scotish Isles and Iceland which was amazing to say the least. Great scenery and amazing sea life. My favorite by far were the Atlantic Puffins, which were on many of the islands. These were all taken on Fair Isle in Scotland, and the birds were only about 6-10 feet away on the edge of a cliff. They were very obliging models, and these are some of my favorites.

Those are great. They certainly were very obliging models. I particularly like 3rd in the first row. |

These are all great. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the 4th photo.

Fantastic pictures!! The Puffin is the provincial bird of Newfoundland, I would love to get pictures half as good as these.

Puffins look like cartoons. # 3 is the best. |

Wow! Those are really REALLY great shots! Fabulous! Great detail, wonderful colours, excellent composition, a nice mix of portraits and action. I'm sooo envious both of your trip and of your talent!

Thanks for all the great comments guys and gals! The funny thing is, they really DO look like cartoons and they're pretty comical to watch in general. They're also a lot smaller than they seem in the pictures, if I had to guess I'd say they're at most 9 inches tall. |
