I just found this lens on amazon.com for $170.00 :
Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras
And I just bought the Sigma 70-300mm APO DG for over $200.00 on amazon a month ago...
Is the Canon one better because of the USM?
OR the Sigma better because of the DG APO?
I am getting kinda mad here 'cause I thought USM was real expensive.
I got the 300D by the way if that matters... |

the sigma is better because it's sharper
(edit to say, neither are exactly stellar)

Well I knew that, you get what you pay for many of the times...budget couldn't pull one of the stellar lenses
