I'd like to propose that any new ribbon winning images be placed on the Front Page somewhere for a week, so for those and in particular, the members that have never one a Ribbon can get the glory, viewing, favorites, extra comment benefits that they deserved and were robbed of.

For the record, this is a selfless proposal.

Still no ribbons, no top tens, no changes in placement here.

Now if we could just disqualify another 25 or so in a couple challenges, I might have a shot... :-)

I think a lot of this is premature, not because of the rawness of the issue - I believe Rikki would be good-natured about it, too - but because my understanding is that calculations are still running. There seems to be a lot of confusion over how the recalc script is running and why it's doing some of the things that it's doing. It's quite possible that some of the adjustments will be readjusted later once the kinks are worked out. Why don't we hold off on this until everything is finalized?

Hey, ya know, it's not just the ribbon winners who now get the recognition they deserve. I mean, my abstract food entry went from 121st to 119th! That's moved up onto a NEW PAGE!

YAHOOOOOO.

Congrats to everyone, including the new ribbon winners. We're all now getting the correct placement. :)

I'm never the one to brag. And this sudden shock of recent news, I'll remain a no comment person on that but I will say I would like to see Rikki return.

Anyways, back to ontopicness ;)

How has this changed my profile?

2nd place Refraction image is now 1st.
4th place Blue II image is now 3rd.

And my Avg score has dropped by a hundreths, not that I care LOL. I deducted the votes Rikki could've received. Recalucated his Refraction image still would've placed first. His was 7.907 and mine was and still is 7.310, that's a big difference, so that Blue is bittersweet for me. Guess it's just as he felt when my Abstract Food image was DQed, but he shouldn't have felt that way because a DQ is a DQ, pitty or not, just pretent my image wasn't entered in the first place. Here it's somewhat different. Not much to comment on the Blue II image though, too close to tell really.

Possible - it was mentioned that many of the 'fake voters' only voted on teh minimum 20%, so remove a vote and they're below teh 20%, so they're votes are thrown out and if yo ugota few 1s or something it might be enough to puch your score over that of the previous blue ribboner.

Interesting how things change when a bad apple gets in the barrel, huh?

Just something to think about. But the people that were originally in 6th place or lower and that are now moving up to 5th position or higher, are those entries now going to be verified by SC...???????????????

You would think they would require validation but I suppose SC have enough to do at the moment.

Would it be fair to ask for an original from months earlier? I save all of mine but not everybody does that.

Well nothing of any real note except my 6th place finish in Holy Places moved to 5th but it was already validated during the challenge.

However, I'll still consider it a 6th place finish since in reality that's what it would have been even after you take away the Rikki votes deemed illegal, which seems to be the case with many of his other top placements as well. Granted some people were actually cheated (i.e. when you recalculate after the removal of the illegal votes) so in my opinion those are the only ones that should be posted here. Just my .02 though.

It would be the correct thing for the SC to request original files, but perhaps some special consideration should be given if a person cannot comply. Hopefully, most can.

Are all the recalculations done now, or did I miss a thread somewhere with the final results?
