I wanted to say, one of the really nice things about DPC is that it gives one the opportunity to see photos from all over the world. Some places which we may have never seen or experienced had the photo not been shot, in France, or Germany, or somewhere in Canada. The idea that I can see great places without leaving the comfort(?) of my computer chair is awesome. I hope that I can share a view of parts of my country with others and hope they appreciate it as well. (Actually, I do love to travel, when time and money permits!

And dont forgot Mexico. On DPC we are a lot of Mexico, so can you see many pic of our country.

I was going to post a thread about this. Something like '[The Country] in Pictures' - and encourage those photographers from that country to submit photos. What do you think - perhaps one each week?

I really enjoy photography that gives us a flavor of the place. I've been quite active at TrekEarth lately, and it's fun to see photos from, literally, all over the world.
And don't forget our strong contingent of Icelandic photographers on this site!
