The other day I was at our 3rd annual weapons seminar (I do aikido & iaido) and I handed my camera off to someone watching to take some photos. I changed it from manual to P mode. In the afternoon, I took my camera back and switched it to manual and took more photos.

When I got home and downloaded the images, the shots taken on P mode had strange exif data. The date and time were wrong. The images I shot later in the day in manual mode had the correct exif data. Any idea why? Do you need to set the camera date/time in every mode or is it just one setting?
