Hey

After a long drive around the Wirral on Tuesday night trying to find 'the' spot for a nice sunset photo we gave up and decided to try a few shots looking over to the city of Liverpool just after the sun had disappeared.

I would really appreciate any comments / critique on these shots. I am just learning about RAW converting and my Photoshop skills aren't all that great either, would love to know if I'm going wrong on my converting and what I can do to improve.

Thanks :o)

I'm far from an expert at PP yet but here are my impressions. First, the images could use a little noise reduction. Second, I think the colors could use a little more pop and maybe a bit more contrast. I would try levels or curves first then saturation. Third, the black border is making the colors look even flatter, as the border is darker than any of the blacks in the images. These are great images to play with in PS and once you reduce the noise, I think you will be amazed at what you can do with them.

Thanks for your help Tim.

I am struggling with noise on all my images at the moment even though I mostly shoot at 100 ISO, havent worked out what to do about that yet :o(

Will spend a bit of time later today playing with these shots in PS and hopefully I might be able to make them 'pop' a bit more, thanks again :o)

More importantly though, did you manage to keep your hubcaps?

LOL I was out with a friend of mine and we parked the car very close to the spot we were standing!

Only time we were a little bothered was when a bloke kept cycling around us, obviously waiting for one of us to put something down so he could grab it!
