| I have a Sigma 70-200 2.8 (77mm) and just ordered a Sigma 10-20mm (also 77mm). Here's my question, I am also going to order a Tamron 28-75 2.8 (67mm). Will this step up ring avoid the expense of buying 2 sets of filters? Also, other than expense, is there an upside (or downside) of using a step up/down ring? |

Yes...that will work. No upside/downside to using stepup/down rings.
Oh, by the way, if your 77mm flter isn't of the slim variety you may see some vignetting with that 10-20mm in it's wide end.

I'm scared to ask due to finances. Which filters you recommend? I was looking at these. |

"UV Protector, 812 Color Warming, Circular Polarizing Glass Filters & 4 Pocket Pouch)"
Two of those filters are worthless to you. UV protective filters do nothing to enhance your photos (and deteriorate the image quality), Color Warming can be done easily in PS.
Circular Polarizers are a good choice for any outdoor photography. I hav ethat Tiffen CP filter and I'm happy with it.
