Okay, these were my best efforts in about an hour and a half. I rather like it. The first one is the front, and the second one is the back.

It seemed like a lot to put on the front, so I put some on the back. Anything can be changed about the design, but I left such a big empty space on each side due to a bleed edge. If you cut off an eighth of an inch on each side of the card, you're fine if you don't need a bleed edge. I used two fonts, because one might not be easy to read for everyone. The key information is in the easy to read font, as you can probably tell. If you don't like the plain font, or the decorative font either, I can change it as well--they're all saved in PSD. Thank you for curing my insomniac's boredom. :P

edit because I hate putfile and it's no direct linking policy.

I removed my image. Didn't have the proper time to spend on the design. Congrats to the winners

Just noticed a typo in the email, there is a . instead of an @, better make sure that's fixed before printing :)

Yea, that has to be the best. I will reluctantly accept defeat if Judi picks that one instead of mine...... :p

There are some great ones...and I really like Samanthas design. Stay tuned as on rollover on Tuesday I will be announcing and Konador...your say just might be more important than you think!

Anyways here is another version from Cheerz. He can't upload it from his portfolio so I said I would that way everyone gets to see them. His latest idea is as follows -

"For the wedding card, you probrably need more room to sell your services.

People wouldn't make a decision just by looking at a card.
I'm suggesting a "jacket" for the card to "advertise" your service a little..

You'll need to increase your credentials a little by doing a little write up on your background.

A price list would be good..

here's a mock up for your reference.."

I used to have a 2-sided business card (basic map on back), but customers would generally grab a card to
write their next appointment on the back, and found they really couldn't.
I switched back to a single-sided card

Yeah, I'mma dork.
Thumbnail ID in hyperlink instead of url - fixed it
:S

Another thing about getting them printed. If you get a choice, opt for the heavier stock.
There is something subconscious that says quality when you pick up a heavy card stock, professionally-printed business card, vs. a thin one.
Lettering, preferable the larger, main words, if done in embossing (raised, glossy feel) has a huge impact on saying quality also.

Whoops, let me fix that mistake. =/

I'm glad you all like it. I was hoping doing this would get me out of my like, 2 month rut of not taking any photos and/or using any Photoshop. Maybe it has? :P

Okay...here is how it is going to work.

Tuesday night rollover is when the entries close. I will then upload all the designs into an online gallery. I will then take votes for what you think is the better design. Choose one only. Either PM or email those votes to me so I can keep a tally and it stays confidential too. Voting will be open for 24 hours only.

24 hours after entries close I will announce the following -

- My choice for standard design
- My choice for wedding design
- Voters choice

I will be printing my standard and wedding design choices. But I will be handing out three memberships. I figured that there was quite a lot of response from everyone in the discussion of the different entries. And Konador actually made my mind up about the third membership.

So please...don't forget to check back at rollover on Tuesday so you can access the gallery link.

So good luck everyone. Keep those entries coming in and don't forget to keep looking at all the new entries.

What the heck is an ABN number????
07/29/2006 09:52:26 PM · #96
Judi said that it's like a registration number for any Australian business. You have to put it on stuff. :P

Just a question, if someone won the popular vote AND your choice, would they get two subscriptions to donate/take?

I'm not that confident in my entry, I'm just curious.
